Bumblebee - Bombus appositus - Male
East Fork of the Bear, Summit County, Utah, USA

Size: about 20 mm
This large bumblebee was feeding on thistle. Mountain habitat with quaking aspen and ponderosa pine at about 8,500 ft elevation. The closest I could get on my own is Bombus appositus. Am I correct?
