This specimen was observed at 5:05 pm on September 13, 2017, at the margin of an extensive sedge-dominated rich fen. There were several northern pitcherplants (Sarracenia purpurea) immediately adjacent to the specimen. The observation was immediately west of the entrance to Buffalo Point First Nation in extreme southeastern Manitoba, Canada. Observation coordinates, latitude: 49.01908358936632, Longitude: -95.31125879235333.
