female Trimerotropis saxatilis
Circotettix carlinianus is a much larger grasshopper, and the color pattern is much more plain. It also has blackish wings and makes a much louder noise when it flies. Trimerotropis saxatilis is common on the limestone outcroppings in the region.

Moved from Short-horned Grasshoppers.
