Geophilomorpha 01 - Strigamia
Tom Thumb Mine, 2.5 miles Northwest of Republic, Ferry County, Washington, USA
June 15, 2006
Photographed near Barrett Creek, 2.5 miles northwest of Republic, ~30 miles south of the Canadian Border, ~150 miles east of the Cascade Mountains, and at ~2100 ft in elevation.

Moved
Moved from Soil Centipedes.

Strigamia
Definitely Strigamia from the bright red color and tapering in body width toward the head.

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the western centipedes, but I'm working on this one since there are quite a few west coast Strigamia on this site. So you can expect a species ID at some point.
