Ceratomia catalpae
There is no doubt on this one

Catalpa Sphinx (Ceratomia catalpae) and Plebeian Sphinx (Paratrea plebeja) are quite similar, though I lean toward the latter (based on the pattern and coloration of the FW tip and the details of the black-and-white fringing). BG has only a single record of one of them (Catalpa) from PA, though I suspect that that's a sampling artifact, considering that there are records of both from farther north. So, I have placed your bug in the most-precise category that includes both species, the relevant Tribe. Waved Sphinx, for which there are numerous BG records from PA, seems from the sources that I checked, too heavily marked for your bug. However, I could easily be wrong, but, at least, the beast would still be in an appropriate category if I am.
