Conocephalus brevipennis?
Could be Conocephalus brevipennis, the Short-winged Meadow Katydid, (due to the short wings and short ovipositor) but I'm no expert.

Recently mated.
This female still has remnants of a spermatophore (white gelatinous mass) that the male transfers during mating.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't even seen that in the field. Site was a little dark, and I was anxious to get off a couple of shots in case it decided to move away.
