Coahuila Giant Skpper (Agathymus remingtoni) - Agathymus remingtoni

Coahuila Giant Skpper (Agathymus remingtoni) - Agathymus remingtoni
5 mi E of Sanderson on US 90, Terrell County, Texas, USA
September 19, 2017
one of two seen resting in shade on hot day. ID by Brian Banker.

Agathymus estelleae?
How was this identified? Is there are way to separate them by photo? Does Brian Banker have records confirmed by genitalia/DNA/...?

I understand that Agathymus remingtoni is extralimital north of Mexico with records from Texas referring to A. estelleae based on confusion in on Scott (1986) according to Pelham (2008). Scott considered estelleae to be subspecies of A. remingtoni. Maybe Banker does not follow the treatment by Pelham?
