Robber - Neomochtherus willistoni

Robber - Neomochtherus willistoni
Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, Canada
September 8, 2007
Size: 15mm

Moved
Moved from Neomochtherus.

Neomochtherus willistoni
Common late summer-autumn species across southern BC

Moved
Moved from Machimus.

I thiink this could possibly be
a close Machimus relative, Neomochtherus. There are a couple of species in this genus in B.C.

thanks
It could be that. What are the characteristics of that genus?

Looks
Like a female Machimus. In BC the only proven species are callidus, occidentalis and vescus. I have no descriptions of these western species. There is also a Dicropaltum species in BC and this is a possibility as well. In the same Tribe with Machimus.

...
Thanks!

relaxed
I've never seen a robber look so relaxed on a leaf before! It's straddling it...

...
Just chilling...The Similkameen is a pretty chill place.
