As far as habitat is concerned, I'm not sure I can be of much help because I just stumbled on to this guy. But, I'm in Oklahoma so a lot of our native plants and trees were present. He was sitting on the top rail of the chain link fence. He was a very cool jumper. He seemed to be more "attentive" than others I've seen and very actively followed my movements. Other jumpers do this also but this one just seemed more interested in what I was doing than I've seen before. One other note, I've lived in Oklahoma all my life and I don't ever remember seeing this species before....not that it hasn't been here, I just haven't seen it. Sorry I can't be of more help.
