Interesting mantidfly - Climaciella brunnea

Interesting mantidfly - Climaciella brunnea
Los Vaqueros Reservoir, Contra Consta County, California, USA
September 30, 2017
Amazing wasp mimic mantidfly. Closest match on BG is Climaciella brunnea, but the colors are much lighter than other photos I've seen. Thoughts?

Here's my iNaturalist observation of it (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/8192417), as well as Ken-ichi's observation and photos of the same individual (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/8194692).

Moved tentatively
Moved from ID Request.

Maybe CA specimens tend to be more yellow. See, for example, this photo, also taken in Contra Consta County.
