You'd be surprised how large they can get...
I've got two Elateridae larvae that look pretty similar to yours, and they are about two inches long now! Can't wait to see what species they turn into...

Hopefully mine will mature soon!
The adults will likely be quite a bit shorter than the larvae, Elaterid adults tend to lose a lot of their larval bulk when mature.
