Photographed in Republic, ~30 miles south of the Canadian Border, ~150 miles east of the Cascade Mountains, at ~2100 ft in elevation

Not many to choose from in Washington
Compared to down here in the south, anyway. This one should be a Blinded Sphinx, Paonias excaecatus. Here is Bill Oehlke's Washington Sphingidae page (he has one for every state). The food plant was a useful tip as well.
