El Malpais National Monument, Cibola County, New Mexico, USA
October 4, 2017
My brother found this insect, describing the location as at El Malpais Nat. Monument, Joe Steen Campground, northern New Mexico: "Think many square miles of massive black lava flows now broken into a bazillion chunks and covered intermittently with juniper, pinion and sage."
