I am preparing a description and wikipedia states:
It is found from British Columbia to southern California, and east to Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and possibly to northern Mexico.
I saw this in Virginia

host plant
if you have host plant info it aids considerably in ID of caterpillars
