Looks like...
Sometimes the Carolina Wolf Spider, Hogna carolinensis has an all-black ventral pattern, like this. (widespread) Hang on for an expert.

Hi Bob,
I would agree with you on this one. The dorsal black pattern is a bit smaller than the ones I have seen, but this could be just a morph. Everything else checks out with H. carolinensis.
