Identification
diagnostic characters(3):
tarsi 5-5-5 in both sexes
head and prothorax with system of lines and grooves (also in Laemophloeidae)
elytra with system of cells or vestiges of cells
mesocoxal cavities closed laterally by sterna
hind wing veins well-developed
genae produced anteriorly as rounded plates, concealing maxillae
gular sutures confluent (confluent = running into one another; gula is part of the "neck", the collum)
adeagus inverted with articulated parameres

larvae are ectoparasites of wood-inhabiting insects, esp. Cerambycidae; adult feeding habits unknown(1)
