Spider wasp (spider hawk) - Pepsis mildei - Male
near Mission, North American Butterfly Center gardens, HIdalgo County, Texas, USA
October 8, 2017
Size: larger than 24 mm
No photos on bugguide have a somewhat curved antenna with an orange tip. Thank you in advance for your assistance. I believe this the stinger is absent; indicating this to be a female.

Moved from Pepsini.

7 abdominal segments = ♂
We can see that he has a "hair brush" on his fifth sternite. (males only) The brush on the fourth sternite is obscured by the right side, hind femur.
Here is a better view of this feature: ♂ Also, the males of this species may have antennae with the flagellum colored in varying amounts of orange and black.

Thanks mucho!

Spider wasp from south TX
