Gryllus - female

Gryllus - Female
Plum Island, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
October 6, 2017
On sand ocean beach. Theoretically we should only have G. pennsylvanicus and G. veletis here, and by date this should be pennsylvanicus. However the sandy beach habitat, the pale tegmina, and ovipositor length make me want to call this G. firmus. Or perhaps it's a hybrid pennsylvanicus/firmus (which is known to happen)?
