is a dumb question, but I'm not sure of the etiquette here. I have already moved a couple photos on my own before. What I am wondering is, if someone like yourself agrees on an ID, is that a green light for me to move an image?

I'm not an editor or a professional, but have been working on moths in BC for about 10 years. Ann asks me for opinions on moths from the northwest from time to time.

For my own stuff, I move it depending on the expertise of the person commenting. In the case of moths I usually have a pretty good sense of what it's likely to be, so if it's confirmed I'm good with it. For other insects I usually don't know enough, so I rely entirely on the editors or on comments from someone with expertise in that area. You can Google people if it doesn't show in their profile.

If you're ok with moving it yourself, it saves the editors work as it's time-consuming for them when they're dealing with a lot of submissions. In this case, I think you're safe moving it. I've seen these in BC quite frequently.
