Helophilus fasciatus ..... mal
The antennae look very dark but I think this is due to lack of light.
The markings on tergite 2 are not sloping toward posterior margin toward sides and the markings are meeting at middle on tergite 4 which rules out latifrons, obscurus, hybridus.

Are you sure about the species?
All of the other specimens from NE have been left at the genus level by the experts.

Thanks for keeping it at the genus level! With Helophilus the color of the facial stripe is key - orange in fasciatus and latifrons, black in other species in your area. So best to keep it at genus unless you have a facial shot...
