Stiria blanchardi has been seen in Brewster Co
Stiria intermixta has been recorded in Travis, Edwards, Medina, and Midland Counties
Stiria rugifrons has been seen in Edwards Co
And we don't know what those caterpillars look like, but you certainly could be correct.

What about S. rugifrons? I looked at the Moth Photographer's Group and that species was the only one with an eastern distribution. http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/species.php?hodges=9785
