ID of this Moth…
Now THIS looks a lit like an Anomis Privata!

You are in the zone for sure
You are in the zone for sure - I'm looking at that upper full horizontal line. Mine seems straight while the Anomis and some others I'm bouncing around in that zone also have a more wavy - not even line.
There's a bit of slight wiggle at ends of that line but not as pronounced as Anomis. What do you think Bkripto.

Definitely not
This is a similar color to bkripto's suggested species, but only superficially similar in markings. This looks nothing more like Rusicada privata than the last image he commented on.

So any idea where I can look
So any idea where I can look Aaron. I always try to find an online image before I submit but moths are tough. Always appreciate BG folks tips and ID help.

It takes practice, basically
There are still many species I don't recognize or can't reliably tell apart. I learned a great deal by photographing my local fauna and soliciting identification help here on BugGuide. With practice, you'll be able to recognize various groups and identify species you haven't seen before on your own by perusing BugGuide, MPG, and other resources.

Not seeing this moth much fou
Not seeing this moth much found in AL so doubly appreciate your ID.
