Broad-Headed Bug - Alydus eurinus
Elysburg, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, USA
September 13, 2007
Is this a type of assassin bug? Saw only one or two of these this week and they are the first I've seen this season. Abdomen is very rounded.

not an assassin bug
This is a broad-headed bug, family Alydidae. Specifically, Alydus eurinus. See here.
