Anatis rathvoni
Tyee Recational Area on the Umpqua River, Douglas County, Oregon, USA
October 18, 2017
I'm not sure if it is A. rathvoni or A. mali. Found on a railing very near the river edge. Mixed forest nearby.

A. rathvoni is good
Lacking the two basal spots immediately behind the scutellum, and with a dark marking at the "tip" of the lateral margin. Shape is also more angular than A. mali.
Plus in OR, mali seems quite rare (seemingly absent, even).
