Tachinid in leaf tie with plume moths - Leskia depilis - Male
Lower Lincoln, Sunbury County, New Brunswick, Canada

This fly was raised from pupa to adult in a Eupatorium leaf tie (collected 19 June 2017) that contained 2 plume moths. Specimen TR-05b. Emerged 7 Jul 2017.

Identified as Leskia depilis (Coquillett) - Tachininae - Tachinidae by James E. O'Hara 8 Nov 2017 at the National Identification Service - Canadian National Collection, Ottawa. The scientist noted that this is an important eastern record.
