Light gray moth with a double strike - Iridopsis defectaria

Light gray moth with a double strike - Iridopsis defectaria
Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA
October 19, 2017
This was a light gray moth that appeared to have a "double strike" pattern of lines. Over his base color of light gray were lines of black, dark brown, light brown, and gray. All of his lines appeared to be broken waves and crescents. The only non-confusing area seemed to be in the middle between the AM and PM line where he had a bat-shaped area that had a wavy median line and two diagonal lenticular spots originating on the PM line. These spots looked like teeth and made him appear "snaggle-toothed." He had a series of dark gray spots around the outer margin and gray fringe. His thorax had light orange stripes.

This
might be Iridopsis defectaria.
