Postscript (9/1/19): Per comments below of Lloyd & Bill, the individual in this photo is a male...while the one in the (previously linked) photo below is a female:

For more info, see remarks there.

Thanks Lloyd & Bill
...for clarifying that the original post consisted of two separate individuals, a female & a male. I've unlinked the photos.

Echoing Lloyd`s comment about
Echoing Lloyd`s comment about two individuals. This is a male. Look at the yellow genital capsule. Final segment black in females. Toxomerus males have a very long triangular frons which can be confusing.
The other image is a female. They need to be separated.

Two individuals?
These two photos seem to be of different individuals, I think one is likely male and one female.

You've nailed the ID.
Have you seen the visual key that Martin developed?

Bottom line: On the west coast, you'll encounter three Toxomerus spp.
1. T. marginatus
2. T. politus
3. T. orientalis (elsewhere T. geminatus)

Thanks Ron
Yes, I saw Martin's key after seeing a comment elsewhere...it's very nice! (And helpful:-)
