Black Swallowtail Egg - Papilio polyxenes

Size: 1 to 2 mm
One of 9 eggs I observed as the female laid them on my bronze fennel plant. Five grew to maturity, and only 2 made it to pupa... we'll find out in the Spring if either of these eclose...
