Larva? - Fascista cercerisella

Larva? - Fascista cercerisella
Henrico County, Virginia, USA
September 11, 2007
I don't have a clue on this one. Any info is appreciated!

If it will help in identification, I noticed that the leaves on this small tree were kind of like the Willow Oak but I'm not sure that's what it was. Some of the leaves appeared to be "stitched", one on top of the other, with the same white webbing as is shown in the photos.

I'm still looking myself. Just found a bunch feeding on Redbud.

Thank you for your response
Dennis, if you find out what this is, please let me know. I've gone through a lot of pictures trying to find him/her. Carol

I just stumbled on this image while looking for photos of larvae on willow, and it looked like you might not have been notified that your larva had been identified and moved to the proper place. If you had already figured that out, please disregard!

Thanks!
Charley, thanks very much for the note. I came back to this page later and found that my larva had been identified. Also my tree has been positively ID'd as a Willow Oak. Thanks for the heads up, though. I appreciate it! :-) Carol
