08/08/17, 08/16/17 Collected syrphid larvae associated with aphids on hemp-nettle, Galeopsis tetrahit; placed in rearing container with some of the hemp-nettle aphids and their host plant material

Can`t be certain this is Syrphus rectus
Can`t be certain this is Syrphus rectus. Males can`t be separated from vitripennis male, even with specimens in the hand and can`t be separated from ribesii without being able to see a high resolution picture of the 2nd basal cell.
Safe in Syrphus .... male...
