Maybe near H. abdominalis
Sabrosky (1980) mentioned
Homaluroides abdominalis
was unusual for its black thorax. This fly is darker than the original description but could be a variant or related species.

Owen Lonsdale confirms Homaluroides
but probably won't take it further since there is no key to species of this genus.

(short costa, multiple rows of puctures at margin of ocellar triangle, antennae small).
