Brown and gray moth - Cymatophora approximaria

This brown and gray moth reminded me of the Iridopsis defectaria that I photographed on 10/19/17 (Photo#1457697). But this one appeared much larger with a wingspan of about 5 cm and several of the details appeared to be different. There was also an apparent mate perched with this moth on the same window about 8 inches away and I'll post that one as "brown and gray moth photo #2."
