Sallow moth with distinctive outer border - Sericaglaea signata

Sallow moth with distinctive outer border - Sericaglaea signata
m, Chilton County, Alabama, USA
October 2, 2017
This was a dark brown to reddish moth that had a wingspan of about 2.5 cm. He had two small black dots centered over his orange and fuzzy collar, just behind his head. His basal line was in the form of a small lightning bolt. Under this he had two small reniform spots oriented laterally with the left side being much smaller and touching the collar, somewhat in the form of a sideways comma. The AM line was light orange and had a thick line of broken dark orange on top and a line of thin broken black on the bottom. The median line was black, continuous, and formed a zigzag pattern from costal margin to costal margin. Between the AM line and the median line were two reniform spots on each forewing. Their outline was light tan and their centers were light orange, matching the surrounding color between the two lines. Below the median line were two more reniform spots which were slightly larger which were black in the inner quarter. The median line actually touched the top of them. The PM followed the basic "W" pattern of the AM line, but was smooth and wavy. It appeared to be made of small lunules connected to each other. The subterminal line was irregular and wavy and was blackish on dark orange above and very distinctive light tan below. The contrast between the orange/black and light tan was striking. The terminal line was also made up of small dark brown crescent shapes, with six on each forewing. The area between the terminal line and outer border had a hint of dark purple, almost iridescent in character.

Yes. A close match to Jeff Trahan's shot in 2013. Thanks. https://bugguide.net/node/view/868199
