Moved from Polycentropus.

something to consider re:
genus assignment. In past years (prior to 2011) there were three genera combined within NA "Polycentropus" - Holocentropus, Plectrocnemia and Polycentropus (see: Chamorro, Maria Lourdes, Holzenthal, Ralph W. 2011. Phylogeny of Polycentropodidae Ulmer, 1903 (Trichoptera : Annulipalpia : Psychomyioidea) inferred from larval, pupal and adult characters. Invertebrate Systematics 25:219-253.) NA larval taxonomy has not really caught up because of the lack of associated larval material. From what I can see in your info I suspect your specimen may be one of the Plectronemia species rather than Polycentropus but we probably won't be able to be sure until alot more work is completed on the larvae of all the genera.

Interesting. Thank you. I'll look this up and stay tuned.
