shoreline bug - Ligia

shoreline bug - Ligia
Camp Wabanna (Mayo), Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
November 4, 2017
Size: approx 1" long
Many of these bugs were seen on the wet rocks on the shoreline of South River by Chesapeake Bay at Camp Wabanna. I saw them right after sunrise.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Wharf Roach - Ligia exotica
Dorsal patterns seem to best represent L. exotica.

Rock Louse
I've always known them as Rock Lice. They're an Isopod species in the family Ligiidae. (Probably in the genus Ligia if I wagered a guess)
