Caterpillar - Hyles lineata

Caterpillar - Hyles lineata
Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA
September 18, 2007
Size: About 1 and 1/2 inches
I found this caterpillar today on an asphalt drive in a cemetery in Milwaukee. I moved it to my garden for safety. I can't find it in my insect guide book, or on this site. Can anyone ID it?
