ID of this Caterpillar…
Can you describe the colors?
Anything like a Pine Sphinx [Caterpillar] (Lapara coniferarum).

Well...
Lapara coniferarum is more Eastern. This is in a desert terrain and the caterpillar was tan over all with cream and brown lines. Feeding on rabbit brush.

I would say the sightings have bordered Utah & have been few… however, nowadays everyone has a "camera" & still… few photo anything either than selfies. Unusual sightings will become the norm soon.
