I just came across this in some of my old colour slides. A bit out of focus but hopefully identifiable

I sent the image to a few Canadian spider experts, none of whom would commit to an i.d., not even to genus.

 
I made the ...
page for this when I saw it but hesitated to file it sooner because the examples I had to compare it to didn't show the dark patch on the carapace midline well enough to give me confidence to file it, possibly a result of being preserved. Someone posted one from Greenland today on a facebook group I'm in that was a close enough match to this one, I think that location ruled out the others I might confuse it with.
