The mystery larvae/pupae are eclosing to reveal adults that I think may be my old friend Tritoma tenebrosa, a reportedly rare species for New Hampshire. I noticed them the morning of Sept. 18 but one at least appears to have eclosed a few days earlier judging by its dark color. This one probably eclosed the night before.
