Bug burrowing through what appears to be chewed up dog bones, sawdust consistency
Granger, Saint Joseph County, Indiana, USA
November 16, 2017
Size: Less than half inch
I found this in a box amongst dog chews. It kind of looks like a tiny bee with no wings. It moved medium quickly around the inside perimeter of the box, having no trouble pushing things out of its way. There is debris in the box which I assume is chewed up bones or something. There was also dried shells of some sort of worm as well.

Larder Beetle

To read about it, click on the image and then on the Info tab.

The "shells" are probably shed larval skins.
