Pallopteridae? - Female
Quite sure this is an Opomyza sp. (Opomyzidae) Both our species have been introduced from Europe. O.petrei has been known from s.BC since the late 40s while O.germinationis was originally known from the east coast (all according to Vockeroth 1961). Opomyza is known to occur in s.Ontario so the ranges of both species are no doubt expanded now. If I had to guess, I would say this was O.germinationis based on the darkened abdominal tergites despite it being a western record. There are a couple other images of western Opomyza here from Kevin Hall (under O.germinationis).
