Olla v-nigrum

Olla v-nigrum
Catalina State Park, Pima County, Arizona, USA
July 28, 2017
Olla v-nigrum I suppose. Are there any look-alikes for this species? Thanks!

The look-alikes
Yes, you actually have two quite special species in AZ that are superficially similar. The body shape and pattern of both are different, though.

Mulsantia cyathigera:

Psyllobora plagiata (note Olla sometimes has a form with a combined dark patch)

If in doubt, looking at the marking characters is useful. For instance, where are the markings located? How many markings are in each row? And so on.

Thanks!
That is very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to describe them. :)

Moved, Hola it's Olla!
