Metallic Woodborer--Buprestidae species? - Lampetis cupreopunctata
Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA

Size: 1 1/2 inches
This bug was in tall grass and seemed the right shape for a Click Beetle or a Wood Borer, but I cannot find a match. I presume the red areas are some kind of mite. Thanks for any help identifying this bug to species.
