Scopula limboundata (Large Lace-Border) - Scopula limboundata

Scopula limboundata (Large Lace-Border) - Scopula limboundata
Redbird State Recreation Area, Greene County, Indiana, USA
June 22, 2014
Originally posted as S. inducta. Upon being moved to S. limboundata, I checked to see where I went wrong. I now see one of the easiest features to spot the difference is the rounded forewing tips of S. inducta vs the pointed forewing tips of S. limboundata. I originally was focusing my attention on a pointed or rounded hindwing, which can be more difficult to positively differentiate.

Moved, Scopula limboundata
Moved from Soft-lined Wave.
