Moved
Moved from Heppner's Petrophila. After much further review, I have to assign this image to Feather-edged Petrophila. It is extremely worn but the basic details of the latter species are evident, in particular the dark dots around the perimeter of the pale postmedian area on the FWs, and the thin short dark capline over the inner submarginal spots on the HWs.
This exaample is so worn that it brings up the question of whether or not the adult emerged locally. Were it not for the very fresh example of an adult in your other Starr County observation, I might have thought this was a long-distance stray. But that record strongly indicates a local population.

Locality?
Rob, Was this moth photographed in the small community of Chapeno in Starr Co., Texas?

That would be the closest loc
That would be the closest locality. Thanks for the new species on the others!
