My latest submissions of Tenebrionidae belong to material lent by the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History (NMNH).
Some online publications mention Argentina, Uruguay, and Bolivia as part of the distribution of some Omepheres species, but I have not found any info on us presence.
My other two recent entries were determined by two reputed taxonomists: T.J. Spilman (Pechalius pilosus) and H. Freude (Bothrotes canaliculatus arundinis), but I was not familiar with W. H. Tyson (Omopheres sp.). A quick online search resulted in several entomological publications including his name:
___Tyson, W H. 1968. New Californian Cerambycidae (Coleoptera).
___Tyson, W. H. 1973. The Spalacopsis of the West Indies and America north of Mexico (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae). The Coleopterists Bulletin 27:3117–137.
___Hovore, F. T. and W. H. Tyson. 1983. A new species of Lepturges from southern Texas (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae). The Coleopterists Bulletin, 37(4): 349-352.
___Charles A. Triplehorn. 1972. A Review of the genus Zopherus of the World (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae).
___C R. Ward. 1977. Annotated Checklist of New World Insects Associated with Prosopis (Mesquite)
