Moved
Moved from Poecilus.

Moved, Poecilus sp.
looks like it's on carrion; maybe it's eating fly larvae? Of course it could be getting nutrients or moisture from carrion. Most predators will scavenge.

Moved from ID Request.

What’s it eating?
Also, note spelling of Carabidae. I have a guess as to the ID, but I’ll probably end up being wrong. I’ll leave that to someone else :)

I wouldn't eat it :-)
Don't know if it's eating a deer leg or the maggots on it.
