Paramarpissa cf. griswoldi - Paramarpissa - Female
Leesville Road, 2.9 mi W CA-20, Colusa County, California, USA
June 2, 2017
Immature spider beat from oak tree. Collected and reared on fruit flies - finally molted in early November (!), was seen to have some sclerotized areas in epigynum and was collected, but unfortunately these proved to be a "proto-epigynum" and the spider was not a true adult female. These two photos are of the live spider in the field in June. Both Tim Manolis and I feel that these are OK to place in Paramarpissa and almost certainly represent P. griswoldi. I am still trying to find an adult - and I'm still rearing a different spider found in the same area.
