Here is the logic which got me to Aphis gossypii.

1. PT/base 2.9, 10

10. Tubercles weak, 11
11. Not Brachycaudus helichrysi, 12
12. Siphunculi/ body length 0.12, antenna doesn’t match Aphis coreopsidis
13. Siphunculi dark, on to polyphagous aphids key
1. Siphunculi present, 4.

4. Tubercles undeveloped, no spicules, 15.

15. Cauda longer than wide, 16
16. Tubercles little developed, 22.

22. Siphunculi tapering, 24.

24. No solid black sclerite, 25
25. Stridulatory apparatus not present, 28.
