beetle - Scaptolenus

beetle - Scaptolenus
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
December 8, 2017

was it still alive?
if so, we might need to change the name to 'rain, sleet or snow beetle'

alive, post-snow
The beetle was flitting about in a parking lot, maybe too cold to fly. This was the morning following the Snowpocalypse that blanketed the Austin tundra.

Moved, Scaptolenus sp.
Moved from ID Request.

How about Scaptolenus?
